By exploring emerging ethical issues relevant to the European Commission and the wider European policy-making community, this initiative offers a valuable opportunity to encourage forward-looking reflection and bring important questions to the forefront.
The EGE welcomes this initiative and recognises its value in raising awareness of emerging ethical questions and their relevance to policymaking. This first collection explores three timely topics: Mirror Life, EU Tech Sovereignty and Sustainability, and Rural Spatial Injustice and Digitalisation. We hope this first edition marks the beginning of a fruitful ongoing initiative, fostering reflection and dialogue on the ethical challenges shaping Europe’s future.
SAEGE’s horizon scanning complements, while remaining distinct from, the EGE’s independent advisory work. The EGE retains full independence in determining its priorities and the advice it provides to the European Commission.
We hope you find it useful.
