On 27 July, EGE Chair Barbara Prainsack participated in the Ethics to Policy Roundtable hosted by the University of Birmingham's Ethics and Expertise Research Team, in collaboration with us. The session looked into how ethics can be meaningfully embedded in policymaking across government, healthcare, technology, and public services.
Barbara presented how EthAM works and highlighted:
"Values and ethical considerations don't need to be injected into policymaking. They're already there. We need to make it explicit, and also everyone working in the policy process needs to be trained on how to think about this."
